my latest musical obsession? if you follow my twitter, you know it's snappy canadian group mother mother. they're adorably quirky, have some serious harmonies, and rely a little bit more on the synthy, glam-rock style than i normally like, but i haven't been able to stop listening to them recently.  they're opening for some group called the sam roberts band tonight at the rock and roll hotel. you should come out. need convincing? you can stream their past two albums here. standout tracks: "o my heart," "body of years," "burning pile," "touch up." maybe see you there.
