inspired by a bout of wii boxing, and charles' fitness success with boxing, and the fact that i really need something to jump start my exercising again, i signed up to take some boxing boot camp at a nearby gym. two things i am taking away from the first night: it is entirely possible that my arms will fall off, and also, i kind of suck at boxing. also, i can't count. i was hoping i'd have some innate susan-like ability to kick the ass of every person there, but no such luck. i should have known that from my limp-wrist syndrome. however, i did learn the 1, 2, and 3 punches (except when i was mixing up 2 and 3), and the instructor seems to think i'm amusing instead of totally incompetent and worthless, so i'll make it through. if i can stand up tomorrow.
i should also note that i'm again looking for a running partner on monday AM (7 am-ish, yes this is optimistic, but still) and saturdays at any point, so holler if you are interested in running 3-4 miles with a kinda outtashape but still reasonably fast running partner in DC. and if you're not a psycho stalker.
